Goodbye My Friend

I thought of Spice Girl...

11th September, a crucial day for the americans. A bad tragedy. A shocking event. No one expected it other than the only Osama Bin Laden.
Same goes for me. I didn't expect the day to turn out how it should. Jacqueline leaving, my assignments undone, didn't study for Mid term. Everything is crashing down! Thank god we did a last hour study when we're on the way to college in Jo's Car. It happened that I can answer most of the questions and by luck, we're granted with extensions for the video. All is left is Moral mid term.

I decided to go for the 12.30 moral class instead of the usual 3.30 class. As I went in, I explained to the lecturer. He was shocked and told me that my paper is different from the current class. I told him that it's alright (I had already gone through the questions with a friend from 12.30). He smirked and said, alright.
The questions are hard to tackle and I have not studied so...... I managed to crap 900 words for the first environmental question and the others are just so-so.

There it is....The time has come, I have to rush to the airport.

I'm sorry guys. The question has bugged me sometime, 'Friends or Assignment'.

I answered 'Both' during that time. After some thinking, yes I know I was wrong, I shouldn't acted that way. But I didn't want to miss seeing my 6 years best friend for the last moment! The last time I saw is when we went out for breakfast which is last 2 weeks. I wanted to see her at least the last few days but assignment came which is to overnight at Jo's place.
Another question 'It's not that she won't come back?'

We may not know this question. She might or she might not. I thought she will. Audrey told me the possibilities, I come to think of it, Yes big chances she might not. Will you Jacq?

Receiving the news that the parents are migrating to US/UK and by judging what is attaching her to come back where by the parents are moving? Not just that, let's take a look at the airplane ticket price from Malaysia and UK?
I also imagined that one day, I'll be in Australia or the States, she'll be in Newcastle! It won't be how it used to be. Walking distance to her house. Seeing each other is easy. Going through each of your grow old stage, it's time to realise she won't be there frankly speaking.

Yes, other friends, I can sacrifice for my assignments but Jacqueline Wong? It's hard...

I think all of us actually flooded the whole Kisho Kurokawa's Malay style pitched roofs and palm trees replica, KLIA. Forest Airport. Going there not just to say goodbye but having the whole memory lane flashes through, you realised that she is a friend that you really treasure. A silent friend, just like my comic.

The back shadow that I will not forget.
The same when she walked towards her flight gate...
We were watching her all the time
With the last wave of Goodbye

Alright, I'm getting teary already...Signing off...

Just Stand Up

Something I found online. This what I'm crazy for at the moment. A song from Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, Keysia Cole, Ciara and etc. Just Stand Up. It is collaborated with Stand Up to Cancer which will benefit from the proceeds of the single.

I like this part. It reminds me alot of things! I wish it does for you too!

I’m tellin’ you that
Things get better
Through whatever
If you fall, dust it off, don’t let up
Don’t you know you can go be your own miracle
You need to know
If the mind keeps thinking you’ve had enough
But the heart keeps telling you don’t give up
Who are we to be
questioning, wondering what is what
Don’t give up
THROUGH IT ALL, JUST STAND UP!

Someone actually commented on Mariah Carey's verse is short and she don't deserves it because she's the most successful singer among all. Not to forget Beyonce's verse is longer(sings the most) . All I can say is that it's a song dedicated to the cancer fundings. As long as you contribute is already enough. It is just like other 'all stars' songs. Contribution is what matters.

(Although I don't like a particular singer in there which her voice sucks but yeah, the meaning is there)

Yep, A song I'm crazy for and it serves a good meaning in the lyrics too! (Rare situation where I pay attention on lyrics)

Birthday Bash?!

It was the official 20th year since I was born. Everyone kept asking what am I planning to do for my birthday? Clubbing? Throwing a party? Going out? Anything? Exactly! Nothing! I absolutely got no plans for my birthday. Quote Audrey, Come on! It's 08.08.08! Perfect timing for your perfect 20 and which you get out from your Nine'teens' and get into Twen'ty'. Yes! She don't have to remind me that! Being twenty, having a '2' infront of everything and yet that was the first thing comes into my mind on 2008 new years!

The whole week before the actual day with no intentions on celebrating it ended up acting donno and 'buat bodoh' about they are planning to throw me a surprise thing. Which it actually turns out to be an open surprise (I don't understand open and surprise). Their plan was to have a cook out and bring everything over 'sambil' watch Olympics 2008 Opening ceremony.

But all complicated issues were save by mom! Having sponsorship to call Dominos over really did cheer 'The Planners" up! Saving them alot of time on preparing other stuff (I forgotten what?). So does the cake issue! Which solved the main problem...  All is left was just to attend.

I went out shopping that day because salary was out on the day before.  Overall, what I did on my birthday? I shopped till I dropped and drooool! No offences guys! But I do think the whole thing turns out to be I'm the one planning for my birthday which I totally got no intention at all.  What happened was Mom called and requested me to be home EARLY! So that I can prepare everything before everyone arrives.

I would say total Dang-ness ^^

As I arrived home, I ordered Dominos and they came.  First thing was turning on the Tvo so that we don't miss the Opening Ceremony.  It's kinda sucky when your birthday clashes with the opening ceremony. But it was purely entertaining ^^  Mom demand me to start everything exactly at 8pm 8minutes and 8 seconds! Ambik kau! Along with the opening ceremony! Quote Audrey, All eyes around the world counting down for my birthday.  Not bad eh?

VMS = Vaio + Movie + Story

I was told to attend the Vaio Software Training at Times Square as it is a compulsory training for me. At first I didn't want to go as I already know all the software. Instead of wasting money going there, I rather stay in Sony Style to train myself. It seems that they manage to arrange transport and were forced to go!

During the the training, the trainer, Simon Khaw whom I know since last time instroduced a software called Vaio Movie Story which our dear brother Justin used it to produce his Distinctly Penang. He officially announced a competition to be held among outlets and dealers. First prize would be a Vaio Laptop! However, this kind of competitions does not attract Sony Stylers as most of us do not have the time to do this kind of thing. There is no theme/tittle, so it all depends on the user's creativity on delivering the message.

To produce a video using that software takes only a few minutes quote Simon Khaw. But for my experience, it took me about 2 hours to finish the whole project.

For me, I actually had a bunch of ideas but I'm just afraid it might not be a success as each participants are only allowed to submit 1 submission.

At the end, I choose to present these!

Press play and pause. Leave it finish loading.
I would like to request you to pause your current playing music/turn on your speaker
Don't run other programs when it's playing because it lags.

I absolutely got no idea why when I uploaded it, it turns out to be squeezed...

Sssp...Lizards

It was first announced during May about the launch of First Batch for Vaio CR series with Lizard Skin! It's a total WoW factor for Vaio fans as this is their first attempt on this kind of design for the market as for what I think that Malaysian Market are too realistic and most of us Malaysian would actually thought that 'Is it necessary to have that?'. That what makes it hard for Sony to penetrate into the Malaysian market.

Anyways, this is something new for Sony Vaios and I think it's somewhat similar to Acer's Lamborghini Laptop? Or Motorola's D&G version? For this CR Lizard series, No! It's not real lizard/crocodile/snake/reptile/whatever you name it skin. It's actually a plastic layer being mould into reptile skin texture. What is the difference between the Lizard Vaio and the normal CR353? There is no differences other than the price which Lizard cost RM4688 and CR353 cost RM4488! So I guess you should know which model Malaysians would definitely choose?

I dare say Sony is wise on making use their staff's abilities whereas it's not in the staff's job scope.

Yep, you got it right! It's Me that I'm talking about!

I realised that Sony Style does not have any windows displays at all and I proposed to the manager. Yep, he agreed and he had the intention on reviving Sony Style's window display as I told him about our windows display assignment.

Silver Lizard

Pink Lizard

To decorate the Silver Lizard seriously took us lots of hassle to finish it! First they got the Pink Lizards deco on my day off and finished it on the second day. That is already done with no worries. I seriously took sometime on figuring out on what to decorate the Silver Lizard. At the end, I turned to home deco and that is what I came up with. But for the Lizard, I got the idea of getting some plastic Lizards in Toy City and some model figurings paint. Those paints are exactly like car paints and bare in mind that it's expensive too! Took me some time to fully color the lizards to silver. I dare say that this is the best piece I did in Sony Style.

Sony Style which is a Sony direct store. The product pricings and free items packages are controlled by Sony Malaysia Corporation! We here are just to provide services and to sell (if you want) absolutely got no control on the products pricings.

There are times where you hate customers...Yup, after the display I actually hated this particular customer. He beg and begs for discounts and free stuff! Come on la~ This is KLCC, and your getting a Vaio... So daring to beg for discounts and free mouse. If you can afford a Vaio, you definitely can afford to get a mouse. Worst of all, he actually asked for that Silver Lizard for free?? Was angry at first due to the fact that it took me long enough to paint that Lizard! But then was curious about what for he want that Lizard? Knowing Suresh's perverted brain, he looked down at his pants and said "Order the lizard to Open Mouth but Don't bite!"

But time do changes things. Is Malaysian market still that realistic? I dare say maybe. For the whole period working in Sony Style, it seems that Malaysians started to enjoy the fancy fancy gadgets made by Japanese innovative brains. From things that makes sense to things that are not making any sense at all! Well, they got me brain washed successfully for sure~ (there's a particular gadget I totally fall for it!)

Like.No.Other....Again?

You guessed it right! I'm going back to Sony Style as I do not have any other choice but to just accept the offer. I was supposed to work for another company but failed to progress. Since then, I can only turn to Sony.

I'm totally pumped up and motivated right now! I don't want to lose! I don't want to dissapoint Mr. Goh! I shall just start studying the products! This Friday shall be my first day.... Still scared about it...

Wish me luck guys and DON'T COME FIND ME!! (ahaks unless you warn me)

Birthday! Burpday?

I'm going to screwed myself for not remembering Hillary's Birthday. I feel disgraced as a brother! Being too carried away on solving own problems till the stage of forgetting my sister's birthday! Anyways, as I found out about that, an idea came up!

The plan is to bring her out for movies!

Movies? That for you would / might ask, well Hillary is 11 this year. See the connection? Going for movies is normal but going for movies by public transport, now my friend, I call that is something!

Always going around following parents in the car, I can guarantee that she has less experience with public transport! With me having many terrible experiences with public transport, I bet she can experience a lot!

I've decided to check her schedule on what time her school ends and where shall I bring her. I actually thought of going to pick her up at school but then I think it's best for her to come home and get dress.

We actually watched Ironman with the whole family so basically we're definitely won't be watching that. Thank god there is a movie for replacement! Perfect movie for kids! Speed Racer! My childhood cartoon! Her childhood reality movie! (LOL)

I choose Pavilion for movies because it's less crowded by 'la-la' beings and definitely the cinema won't be that pack!

After she arrived home, I told her to get dress and to bring her out. Cassandra was kinda jealous and wanting to follow but sorry Cass! I can't, it's her birthday! We walked to the bus station to wait for that 'freaking late / slow' bus but she seems cool with 'where is the bus' situation. It really seemed like she understands RapidKL system. Oh, it's not her first on a RapidKL bus for your information. She used to travel by bus to KLCC outings with her friends (just only a couple of times).

We then hop off the bus at Bukit Nanas monorail station where I decided to expose her with monorails instead of 'driving to pavilion'. Ended up, she sort of freaked out abit by the height but at the end she got used to it. We went down at Raja Chulan station and walked to Pavilion. Went to the cinema and bought normal tickets.

As we went into the cinema, I actually dragged her to sit on the couple seats! Bah-Hah! You caught me! We illegally sat on the couple seats (I did that for the sake of Illegal comfort) with her not knowing that is not our seat. Minutes later, she started to get comfy with it and with me playing pranks around. She warned me for not going home early because she wanted to get something (no idea what but at the end, she didn't get anything)

Overall, the show was cool (for the RACING SCENES only) other than that was just boring and yawning.

As we left, I told her where our actual seats are and she was shocked but she's happy! Then we walked to Sungei Wang McDonalds. (Walk, I highlight this for a 11 year old girl) After dinner, I wanted to have sticker pictures for memories but she wanted it done with Cassandra and Preston, the four of us in it. All I can say is Maybe Next Time?

Took a bus home and Voila! It was around 8.30p.m. and she need to rush for her homework.

I can conclude that she is very happy as she can't stop telling mom about what we did and stuff. She's happy, I'm happy! Happy Belated Birthday, Hillary!

Treasure!

For having things around us, I tend to ask questions sometime.

Are you grateful for what you already have?

Are you satisfied with the things you have?

Do you appreciate them?

Do you take things for granted?

If you're not, shut up, stop complaining and be grateful!

For what you already have, people might not have it. Others might not be that fortunate to even try to complain. Maybe, for some of them, to own it takes a longer procedure than how you get it.

Always think! What you WANT and What you NEED! Some might think it's the same but it's actually different. If you want it, do you need it? Is it necessary? Try not to lie yourself through when you find it attractive. Sincerely ask yourself that!

The wooden transport box. This really explains the amount of free time I have!! I found the extra small pieces of Balsa from the PJ Hilton Christmas Train Project. It's almost half a year from now. I sometime miss the days crafting the landscape and making tiny buildings. Rushing for deadlines and trying to get things done. The chaotic atmosphere with the seniors huge gigantic meeting fight. Ah, those days!

I come to a point that what it suppose to be treasured in the box. Shall it be money/coins? or Shall it be memories?

Try figuring what you should treasure!

Saturday, 10 May 2008

It's been sometime...

When was the last we cam whored together? Loooong ago! Suppose last year or last last year? Think it's last year in Road House Grill. It shall be a memory together for hanging out and a reminder of last forever! Ahaks >.<

Not so perfect shot...

This is worst! >.< It's a disaster!!

Anyways, Happy Mother's Day! Mom!

The days...

Holidays started. That's the fun part. The 'potong steam' part? I'm not used to holidays. I'm so used to the days where I wake up, I have things to rush, things that I have in mind. Now holidays? I have nothing...TO DO!!

Look for a job. Well, I tried applying but no promises and Sony is requesting me to return. Honestly, I have no confident working there anymore. I don't feel secure as that pathetic idiot is still there after among all the people who left, he didn't! I don't think I can perform as good as I used to be and worst, I'm scared that I might dissapoint those who look highly upon me. I've been slacking and I totally have no idea how to bring me back up to how I used to be. Help!

I might try to finish off the things in my list as soon as possible then I shall go find a job or Sony...Everyone is encouraging me to work back but (sighed)...

I used to be the best part timer there. The one who didn't receive any teachings from anyone and with the humbleness, the one learn things by himself from discovering things and being CNN. Ended up, I'm the first part timer to know every product, system and everything about Sony. Guessed its the self motivation.

Anyways, I will reconsider the offer...

I realize that it's been awhile I've contributed art to my room. Every day after the exam, I kept having this vision of De Stijl on a part of the wall in my room. Yes, That particular wall. It's not other wall but that particular wall. The vision shown that the art work is done on the wall near the computer but then I realized that I can't place the artwork there. It's too risky due to the fact that my room's furniture would relocate again. Some will be dumped and some will remain. Of course, the computer table is definitely saying Bye to me!

I found there is only a wall that wouldn't be affected which is the wall next to my "Seal The Door". I started drafting the lines on the night of 8th May. Woke up late today and started color it without any planing of location. I followed my instincts and it turn out to portray my present mood.

My personal interpretation, the red represents the anger and pumped up. The Blue, calmness as you can see that there are still calmness in me. Thank god! The yellow shows that I still believe that there is hope and bright future. while the white shows the innocent of me where I did nothing wrong.

De Stijl, I'm not sure about the rules. I think I went against the nature of De Stijl. I left some part un painted. My original wall color is light green and I left it in some of the areas. It is to prove that there is still Jonathan in it! My greens!!

To innovate the style, I added some small pieces of mirrors (It's not in the photo, added after taking the photo) to reflect surrounding colors and to reflect the colors in me from time to time.

What do you think of it?

Checkered Flags

Monday, the day we planned to race off to Sepang Circuit. Not really though...does speeding cars count? Two cars, one front and the other back? One silver Perdana and yellow Satria? I guess not. Anyways, we went there right after Nat nat's TE2 class. No, its after breakfast in college then only we depart to Sepang Circuit.

It was my first. Yes! I know I jakun. First timer for Sepang. Dad once went for the "don't know what" convention and got a Kingston 1GB Sepang official Thumb drive for free! ( Jealous, still wants it!)

From Kar Weng's research, we found that prices for the seats are "FREAKING" expensive. I'll touch about that later.

The purpose we're there due to our Interior Behavior Studies's toilet design. Yep, the assignment I used to talk about.

Toilet design. We actually finalized our design but since there are critics and needle attacks from the lecturer, it actually performed a traditional acupuncture onto our design.

It was like a balloon with a hole, surrounding air pressuring the inner air out. It is like blood flowing out from a wound causing a huge chaos just like what happened to Pamie's finger when she accidentally cut it, leaving a pocket like on her finger joints.

Moving on, we arrived there and we, the ones who are inexperienced which includes everyone thought that a permission is required. In the end, they said we can just walk in and explore without limits (not the car workshop, just the viewing deck).

We walked all the way from the main office to the viewing deck where the spectator sits. It's a freaking long path! We first checked their toilets, that is the main objective. As shown below, that is the public toilet.

The urinals and the cubicles

As you can see, tickets are sold expensive and yet the facilities are poorly maintained. At first we wanted to re-design this toilet but we changed our minds. We are going to re-design the corporate suit's toilet which it cost RM5k -Rm9k per person to be in the Bronze corporate suit. Yet the toilet for all suits are just plain and simple. There are suits that are more expensive than that! Think! What about Silver and Gold? What about Platinum? (don't know it exist or not).

Fast N Furious pose eh?

Our disastrous jump picture

On the way back, they as shown below started to show signs onto the window written :

" Poyo la! Smartag! ", they wrote.

" Cash better ", we replied.

This is what they wrote.

" Got Smartag! "

-------------------------------------------

Out of randomness, this occurs.

"I like cookies??!?!", they wrote.
and so on.......till the way back to college.

*to be continued...

Choo Choo?

Standing at the train station...

looking at the time...

When is it arriving?

----------

The train arrives...

Doors open...

You wonder to board or not to?

Wonder to squeeze among people?

Or just an empty train?

Chances will come, wait for another train?

Stranded there if it's the last train?

-
-
-
-

Or just wait for tomorrow's train?

It very much depends on the destination we're heading. The perfect timing is the key and it depends very much on where the train is heading towards to.

I board trains alot and missed trains alot but I always tell myself "there is always a second train..."

If it is a last train then it takes a longer time for the next train to arrive. There is always tomorrow but don't miss the train!

(Oh dear, now this sound like PJ Hilton Christmas Train Project 2007)

Precious Red Gem

Heart is like a Red Gem

A precious piece of Red Gem

Not to anyone but to some

It may seemed important

Ignorance would occur without it

Maybe...

Every time you sneeze, your heart stops beating...

What if you keep sneezing continuously?

Does your heart completely stop beating?

Would you die?

Are you willing to leave?

Are you done with your life?

Are you satisfied with everything till present?

Are you grateful of what you had?

Is life precious or what?

I'm suffering continuous sneezes at the moment...

It would be lovely to receive a 'get well soon' card

I'm just dreaming...

Religion Vs Culture

To continue from previous post,

Angela Hijjas, a kind woman who knows how to lead a tour. A perfect tour on knowing what to show and what not to show. There it is, the Perak Malay Traditional House. The house was found in Perak (not sure which part) and to be told that it was build since 1904/02.

Angela asked us to observe and tell her what motifs can we identify from the house. I proudly to say, I answered "Chinese". Yep, it is Chinese. Ah, Chinese! Erm, so? Good question. Dragons, Pheonix, Nian and etc the motifs found on the facade of the house. Try to relate it to Chinese motifs onto a Malay traditional house?

Going back through time, it is to be told that it was carved/produce by a Chinese carpenter from China back then! Chinese are of course came from China, migrated to Malaya. For that particular Chinese carpenter, he was hired to build the house back in 1902/04 and the house was not inhabited by locals (Malay)! It was Sumatera-ns who migrated to Perak. See the point? A foreigner producing a local product for another foreigner! It was not even for the locals. There we can observe that there is cultural adaptations. Chinese motifs on a Malay house which sumatera-ns resided in!

In the house, we can see that carvings on the panels are somewhat very Chinese too! It seems like Chinese coins to me. So does a continuation of Chinese motifs revolving around the interior walls.

Like every Malay traditional house. This house too has its own "Bunga Halang" a combination of 3 cloths, Red, White and Black. All three of this acts as something like the Chinese practice, the yellow paper folded and wrapped with charms to ward off bad lucks called "Fu". "Bunga Halang" is exactly the same thing! Also, when the house was build, like every house, a coin from the year would be placed on top of the "Bunga Halang". Of course it is also like other houses which is not build by nails, it is mainly just assembling every parts of it. I believe the process of building a house can be done in a day's time?

Since Angela is a Caucasian being converted into Islam, I believe that she also comes to a point that there would have some disagreement. Angela argued on, in Islam, there shouldn't be anything in believing things than just God. Since so, why is there such beliefs in "Bunga Halang"? I, myself find that interested to debate about. It is true that Muslims shall not belief in things than just God. Not even tarots that tells fate accurately or some superstitious beliefs. But from this, we can see that there is such practice in the oldies. So does the owner is a Muslim. Angela continued to argued that what is there to lose if you believe in something good for own? "Bunga Halang" wards off evils from the house. Since then why is there harm to believe in such things?

I could conclude that there is cultural clashing occurring in today's context. Think! Culture and religion should not be combine nor mixed. Religion is religion, a belief and Culture is culture, a practice. Why should both be mixed whereby both are different topics! Should those be arabian cultures? Is it intruding Malaysia where Malaysia is no longer standing their traditional culture? Instead readapting what is outside?

Think again, When a Muslim gave birth to a child, why should the child be a Muslim too? Is it because it's stated in the Islam context? What about our Malay culture? Since religion is something what you belief in, should you force a person to belief in something or rather just let it natural?

As once was argued on Malaysian Parliament, I quote "Malaysia ini negara Islam". Should one say so or should it be "Malaysia ini Negara Melayu"? (I'm reusing the word, Tanah Melayu). Yes, Islam is the national's religion but do not forget that it is the fact that is a religion.

Hence, I shall not say anything anymore cause it might go deeper and more complicated. It is for you to do the thinking for now and of course, whatever is written is strongly just my opinion.

First Half April

I'm really back now!

Sorry for the delays and stuff. It's almost a month now. I think I'm changing back my style of blogging again.

First of all, I'm glad that my April fools joke was effective. Very indeed I shall say! It goes like this,

Jon : Eh! You know what? I've got bad news for you. My bad news actually. I have to stop my course/studies...

Responder : (its either) Har? How come?? (or) What?? (or Complete ignored and continue-ing his/her subject)

Jon : What to do? (sighed) Parents can't afford. I think I just have to stop studying and go out to work...

Responder : (its either Trying to solve) Thought your parents doing okay? (or) Har? Really ah?

Jon : (Sighed) Ya, think this is my last semester and that's it...(Rachel's case) and No more "Hi Jon" or "Hi Rachel" or "It's a Disaster" in college anymore

Responder : (Light bulb!) What about PTPTN?

Jon : (Sighed) Cannot la~

Responder : (Curious) Why?

Jon : Cause I don't meet the criteria to apply

Responder : (Confuse) What criteria then?

Jon : April Fools criteria, you know?

Responder : (Blur and continue) How else... (or) SHIT!! (or) What the F*ck! (or Rachel's case) MANGKUK LA U!!...

I totally had fun that day. I thought of fooling Audrey but the trick is up the sleeve! I decided to fool her during the end of the day which is an hour before it ends. Conclusion? She fell into it and as usual, people thought no one would joke during the last hour! That's me! (Interior Behavior Studies Course, rite...)

Moving on to the first and last site visit for the month. Royal Selangor Visitors Centre and Rimbun Dahan.

Royal Selangor is famous for their pewter. Yep, it is Internationally famous for that name and of course, they sells pewter! It is the name of "pewter" in Malaysia. The visitors centre is famously known to architecture language as Steven Holl's 5 senses. Touch, Smell, Hear, Taste and Sight are all involved here.

Oh do trust me, I've seen alot during this trip. For example the picture shown below,

(Sorry for the picture quality, was tired)

As you observe, you may see a bunch of people acting like a bunch of kids that are not shy to try things out. In fact it is way beyond shy till acting tremendously "wild" no matter the item is fragile not.

Anyways, the centre is open for public (trying not to mention lot about it instead YOU experience it!~) and it is located in Wangsa Maju (actually Genting klang Setapak, near Air Panas) Do visit there some day when you're too freaking free~

Rimbun Dahan, an architect's house. A lot people might say 'Ooo, Architect's house eh? Must be grand and superb'. Sorry to dissapoint but it is not as superb as you think it is. Simple lifestyle, I would suggest for an architect's house due to brain cracking situations and stressing events.

Who is the architect? Hijjas Kasturi. Who is he? His the one who designed Telecom tower. What so good about him? I absolutely got no idea but I like some of his works. This house resides in the middle of a jungle (Many many many trees). The 'jungle' is a very huge compound.

The house, is a set of triangular and there isn't anything special about the house though. I mean, it's just a house!

There is a step path down the row of waterfall splashing downwards to the pond and crossroad across the humongous pond.

After so, you'll come to an end of ground where you shall see a swimming pool next to the river.

(So proud of this photo ;p)

Anyways, there is a few sets of designers chairs to be found like Philip Starks chair, Mies Van Der Rohe's Cushion chair sets and the famous De Stilj chair and I sat on them! That is what I'm proud of.

There is something that pleased me, that is a gallery to be found underground basement and the residency program.

They sponsors artist to produce artworks and paintings to stay in their resident compound with a monthly allowance of RM2k per month for 4 months. Like said, a place to stay is provided and with that allowance is considered good for an artist to produce their own artwork with materials sponsored too! They invites foreign artist and some local artist to participate in the program. It is to be told that Australian artist has their countries full support with sponsorship on producing artwork and with no return to the country but instead they can sell their artwork and to earn too!

Shucks...Malaysia we're to speak of...Sigh..

Hijjas has many vintage car collections and there is a building solely for those cars to be exhibited. Even the wife drives a vintage Volkswagen.

The trip was toured by Angela Hajjis, the wife of Hijjas Kasturi. An artist herself and there she toured us around with alot of explanations on art. I learnt alot especially during the debate in the refurbished Perak Malay Traditional House. That I shall discuss about it later. Anyways, Rimbun Dahan is open to public (yes, their house compound) and there is a special week in May, not sure when though, will be exhibiting some art in the gallery. For more information, do check it out in their website, http://www.rimbundahan.org/home.html

This is the day where I went PcFair....etc (not telling Xp).
